New Indy IV trailer!
This came in over my RSS subscription to indianajones.com last night: Trailer #2 for Kingdom of the Crystal Skull!


Ooh, nice new mileage here with Cate Blanchett chewing the scenery and delivering her lines in a Russian accent. Seeing her play a villain promises to be a whole lot of fun.

Ooh #2: DUDE, are we getting jungle zombies in this film? COOL.

Trailer played a little jerkily for me but that might have just been my connection. The jungle shots look pretty nifty; I'm a trifle concerned about the tower falling apart sequence, and hope very much that that won't play out too CGI-ily on the big screen.

Nice to hear Harrison's voice-over narration at the beginning, as well as just getting a bit more plot context in general. Getting a much better idea of what to expect out of this film now.

And, bwahahaha:

Mutt: "What's he going to do now?"
Marion: "I don't think he plans that far ahead!"

Hee! I loved that big affectionate grin on her face as she delivered that line, too. DAMN, I've missed her.


Oh yeah. This is starting to feel like a proper Jones film. Even with this old Indy running around in it. ;) I am eying the 22nd now with great enthusiasm--and thoughts of attending a midnight showing! 'Cause who am I kidding, I know I'm going to be there!

DAMN! Yes, we are SO there. I'm thinking we may need to camp out a few hours early. We could bring laptops and watch the other Indiana Jones movies while we wait. >;-) I think that would be the perfect way to pass the time - and a most pleasurable one!

I watched the trailer in HD and it looked great. Nothing looked cheesy or fake or jerky. Just FYI. :-)

*beam* I'm going to have to see if I can get the 23rd off. Because I COULD show up for work the next day, but would be unable to say anything but "JONES!" ;>

Assuming that the Cinerama does do a midnight or close to midnight showing, I'm thinkin', we could do dinner after I get out of work that day and then make with the line camping. That could be fun! And hee, watching Raiders while we wait wouldn't suck either. 'Cause it'd have to be Raiders. 'Cause MARION!

Oh I hope this plays with Iron Man tonight! The content is awesome but I need to see it on the big screen for full effect. Plus a night that already contains Robert Downey Jr. can only be improved by the addition of Harrison Ford!

With Iron Man first out of the gate with the summer movie season, I daresay the timing of this trailer was specifically to take advantage of this. ^_^

Also, yay Iron Man! Downey's never been on my radar particularly but I gotta admit, the movie looks fun! We won't be going to see it till next weekend though.

Downey is fantastic in the part. It was perfect casting, and Favreau did a great job directing him.

When you see it, make sure to sit through all the credits to see the bit at the end.
